Review: You might hear one comparing this to a Tarantino film, but leave all worries at the door, this is an absorbing and tremendously unique piece of cinema from Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn. The reason it works so exquisitely well is because the film grabs hold of you and takes you inside this often dark and dream-like LA setting. So, when the end of the film hits, you feel apart of this film, and it is there to stay.
This film also offers a Ryan Gosling like you have never seen him, speaking only when necessary, with tension and fury in his eyes. He is silent, caring, and ridiculously tough. Every line is delivered perfectly and every gesture is natural.
I saw this at the LA Film Festival on a mammoth screen with booming speakers. The music only makes this film more unique. It is catchy and synchronized perfectly with the TRULY beautiful cinematography.
This film is the BEST of its genre. I honestly cannot compare it to any other film, for it is truly that different. Drive is already the best of the year, because I’m POSITIVE no other film will haunt and invade me quite like this film has. This is not just a classic for its genre, but a beautiful and bold classic in general.
My sister advocated Drive, and it’s exemplary. Terrific actors and really hilarious. We plan to view this movie once again. I recognize that it is a film I could see numerous times.

Drive – Louis D’Antoinne Millenes is a descendant of a family of Russian blue bloods, but when his mother mated below her place, the D’Antoinne family disinherited her, which Louis finds shocking. When his mother’s dying request, to be laid to rest in the family burial place, is not permitted by the family, Louis is enraged and anxious for retaliation. Many D’Antoinnes stand between him and the duchy bestowed upon the D’Antoinne kinsfolk many many years ago. In a storm, he concludes to murder all of them, one by one, and, then, become the duke. He analyzes the D’Antoinne kinsfolk and finds paths to wander in and out of their lives, bit by bit endearing himself to the family and acquiring the admittance he needs to carry out his bloodthirsty plot.

Cynthia unexpectedly visits Louis in prison house, which he finds disgusting as she has figured so conspicuously in his impendent execution for a crime uncommitted, but she quick makes the motive of her visit transparent. She proffers to plant evidence that would clear Louis from guilt if he agrees to marry her, making her a duchess, after departing prison house. He reaches the trade with her and after she completes her end of the bargain, he is loosed from prison house.
As he departs the prison house at the end of Drive, both Cynthia and Jayne are there to meet him and drive off with him, and, suddenly, faced with a selection of two beatiful gentlewomen, he seems to own all the cards again. Or does he? As he contemplates his choice, a newsman comes near him touching upon the possible issue of his memoirs, and, disgustedly, Louis recognises that he has forgotten grounds that will surely condemn him inside the walls of the jail, a sharp and especially beastly twist of fate!
I don’t know what anyone considers about Drive, but my boyfriend and I liked the movie.

Really, Drive isnt known as the best flick ever made, or have the most believable actors, or the greatest storyline, but it is one of my incomparable loved movies. I have seen this film a number of times, and I always enjoy it every time.
I just pop the popcorn, sit back, leave my concerns for a couple hours, and just get involved in the film. I consider the main players do a noteworthy job with their characters, and the director keeps matters moving along. It is not ho-hum, at all. Drive is one of the pictures I usually advocate to my buddies, and to this day I havent heard a bad review of this film.
Be kind to yourself, and catch Drive with a friend or partner. You will both be happy you took the opportunity to see this picture.
