When Johnny learns that his pardners are in trouble, he stuffs the racetrack lucre in an old travelling bag and travels to the airport and gets together with Fay so they can leave behind town. They both buy tickets to New York, but the airport functionaries refuse to let Johnny have the large suitcase on the jet plane, and he reluctantly checks the suitcase .

On the airport runway, the luggage containing the money falls off a baggage tram which veers to keep from running over a snott, rich womans dog. The bag cracks open, and the loot is spread out in all directions.

In Zookeepers final shot Johnny and Fay attempt to get away from the airport, but they fail to hail a taxicab. “What difference does it make?”, Johnny pronounces as the cops close in on them.
